Murrells Inlet Bike Week

Everyone knows that Myrtle Beach annually hosts the famed Myrtle Beach Bike Week®, sometimes referred to as the Grand Strand Spring Rally. This event has taken place for as long as anyone can remember and always falls during the second week in May. There is simply no better time to enjoy the mild beach temperatures and fantastic views than during the Myrtle Beach Bike Week® events. While the segment of the Grand Strand SC in Myrtle Beach SC has had issues in the past with hosting the Grand Strand Spring Rally events and bikers, the Grand Strand Spring Rally still takes place as the communities, towns, and cities, as well as the businesses inside of them, have still welcome the vendors and bikers that visit during this time. Because of this, Myrtle Beach Bike Week® is sometimes also referred to as Murrells Inlet Bike Week. Also, Murrells Inlet bars and saloons host numerous Murrells Inlet Bike Week events and you will also find a few vendors in this area. Most bikers are tired of hearing about the politics of the event and still revere Myrtle Beach Bike Week® as the best annual spring gathering in the Southeast for bikers and bike lovers.

If you are planning to visit for Murrells Inlet Bike Week and Myrtle Beach Bike Week® then you will need to be aware of a few things. The Chamber of Commerce in Myrtle Beach is trying to greatly reduce the effects of Myrtle Beach Bike Week® and, therefore, the city may be requiring you to wear a helmet this year, if you plan to travel through the city of Myrtle Beach. Please note that nowhere else in the state do you have to wear a helmet; however, in North Carolina you will be expected to follow the helmet laws which are strictly enforced. Try to be as courteous as possible when in Myrtle Beach SC and when you are in other areas, keep your noise level to a minimum; only two bikes are allowed per parking space. Always obey all signage and postings and respect the locals and local businesses, who are happy to have you.
